Wrongful Death of Minor–House Fire. A young mother lost her son in a house fire when her son was staying at family member’s home. Dahlberg Przybyla Law’s investigation determined the fire was likely caused by the homeowner falling asleep with a lit cigarette. The homeowner’s insurance carrier refused to accept responsibility, and Dahlberg Przybyla Law was able to obtain a favorable settlement for the child’s mother for the wrongful death of her son.

Wrongful Death of Three Minor Children–House fire. A couple renting a farmhouse lost three minor children because of a fire that started at the rental home. The homeowner’s insurance company denied responsibility. The couple hired Dahlberg Przybyla Law to file suit against the landlord and the insurance carrier on the grounds that the landlord’s negligence was the cause of the fire.

Over $240,000 settlement for woman who lost home in house fire and insurance company refused to pay for losses. The homeowner’s mortgage company failed to pay the homeowner’s hazard/homeowner’s insurance policy due to careless practices. After the house was lost in a fire, the insurance company refused to cover her losses because of unpaid premiums. Dahlberg Przybyla Law obtained the full amount of coverage for the homeowner from the mortgage company’s insurance carrier.

Wrongful Denial of Insurance Benefits

Over $330,000 settlement for client that was wrongfully denied life insurance benefits for spouse’s death. Client’s insurance carrier denied payment under spouse’s life insurance policy on the grounds that insured failed to pay premiums. Dahlberg Przybyla Law argued the insurance carrier failed to properly notify the insureds of the cancellation and were able to obtain the full amount of coverage for the surviving spouse.
